A Bevy of Christmas Cards from The To You and Yours Shaker Kit

The To You and Yours Shaker Card kit from the Holiday Catalog makes six each of these three wonderful shaker cards:

However, the fun doesn't end there!  I decided to use some of the leftovers from the kit, combined some card bases from the new Thick Whisper White card stock, plus one 4 x 5.25" layer of it, and came up with a bunch of additional cards.  I also used the To You and Yours stamp set that coordinates with the kit to create these cards.  For the first group, I embossed the card stock layer with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

With the leftover circle stickers, I decided to create some ornaments, and heat embossed the deer and tree image from the To You and Yours stamp set onto the sticker.  I also heat embossed some gold stars in the sky.  The first card I left plain, but on the other cards, I sponged some Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry into the sky.

Finally, I decided to create some mini note cards with poinsettia embellishments created using the Festive Flower Builder punch:

Hope you like these alternate ideas!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Post-Thanksgiving Goodies!

Hi, everyone!  Although we've been decorating our house for Christmas today, I'm not quite ready to switch to sharing Christmas projects on my blog, so thought I'd pop in and share some gorgeous handmade Thanksgiving cards I received from friends.

This one is by Marlene Caravello, and I love how she stamped the fall image from Happy Scenes onto the leaf die cut and colored it.  The Hardwood background looks wonderful, too:

And, here is a card by Judy-Ann Rosti, who also used the fall image from Happy Scenes, but with a die cut window from the Hearth & Home Framelits, and the grateful from the Seasonal Frame Thinlets:

As a bonus, I've finally taken photos of the beautiful handmade birthday cards I received for my birthday (last month!) and wanted to share those with you.  So, here goes:

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!  Don't forget to head over to the Online Extravaganza in my Stampin' Up! store and check out the deals there!

Here's the first card, made with the Lighthearted Leaves and Gorgeous Grunge sets and Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper:

The next cards are made with the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set, Into the Woods Designer Series Paper and Into the Woods Elements:

And, last but definitely not least, I wanted to share this gorgeous Thanksgiving goodie box, made with the Fry Box die, that I received from my very talented friend Joyce:
